Pepoples, Nature, & Culture: Activating the Principles

The session will introduce practical tools and support mechanisms for identifying, planning, recognising and effectively managing protected and conserved areas in support of national 30x30 commitments. It will explore Key Biodiversity Areas, SeaSketch, marine OECMs, the IUCN Green list and management-effectiveness tools, drawing on practical METT experiences from Papua New Guinea and Vanuatu. The session will also identify opportunities for regional cooperation, technical assistance and peer learning to strengthen implementation and reporting against KMGBF Target 3
